What makes Everman unique?
The fashion industry is remarkable. They have managed to engineer a perpetual buying cycle by creating a market who want new trends every season. What they’ve missed however is that there are men who don’t buy into the hype and frenzy and simply have more important things to do with their time. Everman has been created for these men. Here’s how we see ourselves against the traditional fashion industry.

Never change? Ever? At all?
For intents and purposes – yes, Everman clothing will never change. At least, not significantly. We want to give you the convenience and sartorial peace of mind of always being able to “restock” your wardrobe at Everman. We will however make improvements to a garment if there is an opportunity to do so and bring it ever closer to the perfect garment. But for intents and purposes, Everman’s clothing will never change.
But doesn’t fashion change all the time?
Some things are more timeless than others. Design that is based on function or etiquette tend to remain relatively unchanged for long periods of time. The durability and versatility of a pair of blue jeans or the expectation of black tie and a suit at formal occasions are good examples. Skinny jeans however…
Why all the fuss about fashion?
The idealist would say that what we wear gives people the means to express their identity and is a celebration of human creativity. The cynic would say that the fashion industry has managed to create a trend-addicted market to drive their perpetual seasonal buying cycles. Our opinion is somewhere in the middle. The fashion industry has age old flaws in serious need for disruption; but we are passionate about good design, and although we subscribe to a form-follows-function design philosophy, we enjoy adding some flair to our everyday dress on occasions. That being said, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. Good quality essentials should always be available and easy to find. Hence Everman Apparel.
Why do men have an aversion to shopping?
We’re excluding hardware stores from this statement. Hardware stores are one of the few places we can get in and get out in under five minutes with exactly what we want. Other than that, shopping can seem like an the worst kind of wasted of time – right up there with queuing at SARS to pay your taxes. Shopping takes time and in most cases men simply prefer to spend their time on things more important to them – having friends over for a braai, wrapping up a big project, watching your kid’s soccer game. It could also be that most retail shopping experiences are designed for the way women tend to shop – shopping trips with friends, cappuccinos, sales, countless options, new trends. Then again, countless women have asked when we’re launching a Everwoman. In the end, all we can say for sure is that Everman’s simplicity strikes a chord, so we must be onto something.
What is a smart wardrobe?
A smart wardrobe (also known as a capsule wardrobe or lean wardrobe) is a set of high quality clothing, normally around 25 essential items, which can be mixed and matched to create a wide variety of outfits. Not only does it allow you to get more mileage out of your wardrobe, it makes the everyday decision of what to wear simple and easy. And best of all, it makes shopping much simpler too. Everman’s product range will be be built on this concept.
Who's the dog?
There have been rumours that he is merely a common house dog of the owner of Everman Apparel. These are of course slanderous lies. It is true that they are best friends, but Hugo is very much an independant dog and an expert in sartorial matters, which is why we have asked him to be our brand ambassadog. He is also damn good looking, which is why he models our clothes. And he always seems to have a bone to pick, which is why we have him as our official spokesperson on twitter @EvermanApparel.
What’s the difference between your Lean Build Fit and your Sturdy Build Fit?
The best practice is to wear clothes that complement your body shape. Regardless if you’re a lean or a sturdy build, the perfect fit will follow the contours of your body to create a clean, simple line. No part of the garment should be so so loose that it has excess fabric, or so tight that it stretches. Everman’s garments have been designed on this principle to give you the most flattering and comfortable fit.
Our Lean Build Fit is cut slightly narrower much like other brands’ “slim fit”; and our Sturdy Build Fit is cut slightly looser much like other brands’ “regular fit”. If this is your first Everman purchase and you’re unsure which fit to go for, order both to try on at home and keep the one you want. We have a free return policy. What if you're sold out in my size?
Our never-change approach makes it easier for us to remain well stocked. However, in the event that your size is out of stock, which is more likely to happen in our first year of business, please let us know what item, colour, fit and size you want so that we notify you when we’ll have it in stock and can keep it on reserve for you once we do.
How do I determine my size?
If you’re unsure of what size to choose, the simplest solution is to measure a similar garment from your wardrobe that fits you well. The key measurements are the collar for shirts and the waistband for pants. Click here for detailed instructions.
Do you only sell online?
Yes. Online shopping enables the efficiency and convenience we like to offer our customers.
What other items will you be selling in future?
Over time Everman will offer a full range of perfectly designed and manufactured essentials that make up a smart wardrobe. Initially it will be focussed on semi formal business essentials such as dress shirts and chinos, woolen trousers, jackets, v-neck cashmere jerseys and sport jackets. From there we’ll brand out to more casual wear such as jeans, polo shirts, casual shirts, jackets and accessories.
How much does delivery cost?
In most cases – nothing.
Outlying areas and difficult delivery locations (see below) might require a delivery fee. In such cases we’ll hold the delivery and notify you of the cost. Unfortunately we don’t have the tech available to automate the process at this stage.

Where do you deliver to?
Anywhere in South Africa.

How long does it take?
Everman has one of the fastest delivery times of online retailers. We aim to deliver orders placed before midday by the very next working day, or latest, the work day after that. Some outlying areas may require more time.
How do I track my order?
Your order will be delivered by MDS Collivery. They will be in contact with you throughout the process and supply you with a tracking number and link. You’re welcome to contact them directly for any delivery info.
Who do I contact about my delivery?
We recommend to speak directly to our courier, MDS Collivery, at 0861-637-0000 or support@collivery.co.za, but please feel free to contact Everman at 071-068-6520 or wtf@evermanapparel.co.za if you prefer.
What is your return policy?

Can I send back what I don’t want?
Yes. And we’ll happily give you a full refund or store credit. Read here for full details.
How do I make an exchange?
We facilitate exchanges by giving you store credit to buy a different item once the items have been returned. Read here for full details.
How do I make a return?
Simply repack the items, complete the return sheet provided and got in touch with us. For further important detail, please see here.
How much does a return cost?
Nothing. We’re able to offer free returns because most Everman customers, except for first time buyers, know what size and fit they bought before and simply restock their wardrobe accordingly.
What happens if I received a damaged product?
In the unlikely event that you do receive a damaged item, please get in touch with us within 48 hours so that we can correct the problem as fast as possible. For further important detail, please see here.
How long does the return process take?
2-4 working days including couriering, inspection and initiating the refund process, but excluding time for funds to clear in the bank.
Is it safe for Everman to remember my card details at checkout?
Yes. In fact, your details will only be stored by PayGate – one of South Africa’s most trusted online payments and security companies. It’s a service which enables you to process future transactions quickly and easily without having to remember your card number.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, EFT, American Express, Diners Club, SnapScan, Paypal, Visa Checkout and MasterPass.
How safe is your website payment system?
As safe as it gets. We chose Paygate as our partner to facilitate our online payments. They are one of the most professional and reliable payment gateways in South Africa and are trusted by 10 million card holders. If you’re concerned about making payments online, rest assured, you’re in the safe hands.
How do I create an account?
You can register on the account page or tick the “create an account” box on checkout.
Where do I find my password?
If you registered an account (note that this doesn’t happen automatically when you purchase from Everman) you would have been sent your password in an email from Everman with the subject “Your account on Everman Apparel”. You can also reset your password here.
Can you tell me what I bought before?
If you created an account with us you can simply log in at Everman and check your past order on your account page. We would also have emailed you an invoice with an order breakdown. Alternatively, please feel free to contact us.
